Stretch Marks (striae)
MICRONEEDLING WITH THE DERMAROLLER® ON STRIAE - Only the Original, Genuine Dermaroller® does it!
Stretch marks or striae are caused by skin stretching during rapid growth in puberty and in pregnancy. Stretch marks are hypotrophic scars. About 80% of all pregnant women experience striae. This over-stretching results in skin ruptures that finally transform into hypotrophic (atrophic) scars. New stretch marks appear like reddish to purple irregular lines and gradually fade to white or silverish color, and they are permanent. By touching they appear softer than the surrounding tissue. Mainly glucocorticoid hormones are responsible for striae. They prevent the transformation of fibroblasts into collagen- and elastin fibers. Although striae do not compromise the body’s function, in many cases striae can be an aesthetic disfigurement and may often lead to psychological depressions. So far the cure of stretch marks has been “very difficult”, and the improvement with creams or laser is very limited. Based on the fact that Dermaroller Microneedling stimulates cell regeneration and proliferation of fibroblasts significantly, Dermaroller® is the first choice to treat stretch marks. Before microneedling, stretch marks should not be older than 1 year, beyond this time they have "matured" with far less response to any therapy. Provided the best possible microneedles, such as the Dermaroller®, are used by an experienced physician, stretch marks improvements above 50% are possible. Anything above that figure should be regarded as a bonus. Unlike any ablative method (peeling, dermabrasion, IPL, Co2 laser, etc.) there is no risk of pigment loss, especially on darker skin when the original Dermaroller® is used. The downtime is zero.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
All medical DERMAROLLER® are SINGLE USE, DISPOSABLE medical devices and only belong into the hands of licensed skin care professionals. Also numbing creams should only be applied under professional supervision!!!
NEVER ATTEMPT TO TREAT YOURSELF WITH MEDICAL INSTRUMENTS OR DRUGS !!!
